Chazen Senior Scholar Geoffrey Heal, the Donald C. Waite III Professor of Social Enterprise, and Derek Brower, US Energy Editor at the Financial Times, held a “fireside chat,” to analyze the energy policy priorities of the incoming Biden administration.
Heal and Brower discuss the cost of Biden’s ambitions to put the US on a path to decarbonize the nation’s energy economy by 2035.
They also examine the financial opportunities available to firms by transitioning to renewable energy.
“I think it’s an attractive investment,” Heal says. “The benefits outweigh the costs, and that’s before we even talk about climate change.”
